ประตูด้านตะวันออกของเวียง อยู่หัวถนนท่าแพ หันหน้าไปทางแม่ปิงที่ห่างออกไปหนึ่งกิโลเมตร เดิมชื่อประตูเชียงเรือก ตามหมู่บ้านค้าขายที่อยู่หน้าประตู · The eastern gate of the walled city, at the head of Tha Phae Road, facing the river a kilometre away. Originally Chiang Rueak Gate, after the trading village outside it.

The municipality and the Fine Arts Department rebuilt the gate and its lawn in 1985–87 from records, archaeology and a single old photograph; it is the only inner gate with a complete set of wooden doors.
