How the numbers are made. Rain: share of days >= 5.0 mm, 1996–2025, 5 towns, ±7 days, from a reanalysis grid, not a gauge. Smoke: CAMS PM2.5 75th percentile by date, 2022-08-01 to 2026-09-17, 9 loop points, ±5 days; scores 1 at 8.0, 0 at 28.0. The model reads low against ground monitors, so the scale is set to the model. Crowds: estimated: seasonal curve + weekends + dated events (long weekends, school breaks, Golden Week, Chinese New Year, Ok Phansa, Loy Krathong, the Bua Tong bloom); no visitor counts are published for the loop. Rating: 10 × cube root of (clean × dry × quiet), so one bad factor sinks a date.
