The crawl asks OpenStreetMap for every named trade in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai and gets 144 records back; none of them is an exterminator — while every house that stays here long enough needs one, and it is a trade that almost never works in English. A bait system starts around 400–700 baht a metre and chemical injection around 150–280; if the house is not built yet, pipework laid during construction is much the cheapest. Every one of those figures is as published and none has been confirmed against a real quotation. Two quotes for the same house differ because they multiplied different numbers, so ask for both halves every time: how many metres do you make it, and what is the rate.
