What it is

Catching a kick, stepping past a leg, or turning a man out of the clinch so that he lands. Legal here; not legal in most kickboxing rulesets.

The long version

A dump is not a knockdown and is not counted as one. What it is, is a statement to three judges that one man is handling the other, and in a close fight that is the round.

Inference — this is why the judging looks strange to someone raised on boxing. Nothing was landed. The round still went somewhere.
