What it is
The only technique named by three of the four regional schools as well as by the standard list. If anything in the curriculum is bedrock, it is this one.
The long version
In the Ramakien, Hanuman crosses the ocean to Lanka and finds Sida in the garden, and hands her Rama's ring so she will believe he was sent. He kneels and holds it up with both hands. That gesture — both hands rising together, palms up, to the height of another person's face — is the technique.
Korat's older list names four more Hanuman techniques: he parts the waves, he carries the lord, he pulls up the stump.
