What it is
The disease control department's three-database file, one row per death, filtered to the province of death: 595 in 2022, 616 in 2023, 558 in 2024, 513 in 2025 with that year's file still filling. Against a provincial population of 1,799,019 the 2024 figure is 31 per 100,000; Thailand's rate was 25.4 in 2021 by WHO, down from 45.8 in 2010. In 2024 the deaths were 60 under twenty, 350 aged twenty to fifty-nine, 132 sixty and over; the districts with most were Mueang 140, Mae Rim 80, San Sai 42, Fang 36, Hang Dong 25. The helmet field was empty on every Chiang Mai row.
