measurementDead ends, zone by zone
ทางตัน ทีละโซน
14% of lane ends inside the moat go nowhere. 35% at the outer ring.
How it was counted. Degree-1 nodes ÷ (degree-1 + degree≥3 nodes) per zone; nodes within 200 m of the harvest box edge are not counted as dead ends.
What it is
The share of network ends that are dead ends: nodes touched by one way only, divided by those plus the intersections, on drivable ways without service lanes. Inside the moat 14%; to 3 km 26%; 3 to 5.5 km 32%; 5.5 to 9 km 35%; beyond 35%. 15,928 dead ends in the box against 31,668 intersections.
The long version
Inference — a hom in the old city was cut to let people through; a hom in the rings was cut to let people in. The share climbs ring by ring because each ring's land was subdivided by its owners one plot at a time, and a shared driveway to twenty houses ends at the twentieth. The consequence for the city is that a trip between two lanes 200 m apart in San Sai can be 2 km by road.
