Of the 11,691 that are genuinely websites, 5,291 are broken (45%). Another 1,511 links filed as “website” are really social pages.

It is the ordinary shape of the web here: a shop built a site a decade ago, the real conversation moved to LINE and Facebook, and the domain lapsed quietly. Anyone following the old link meets a blank page or a security warning. So Mot Dang does two things: it puts the channels that actually answer at the top of every place page, and when a site has stopped answering it keeps an archived copy instead of sending you into the wall.
