วันมวยไทยแห่งชาติ ตามมติคณะรัฐมนตรี 3 พฤษภาคม 2554 ตรงกับวันขึ้นครองราชย์ของสมเด็จพระเจ้าเสือ (สมเด็จพระสรรเพชญ์ที่ 8) ผู้ที่เรื่องเล่าสืบกันว่าทรงปลอมพระองค์ลงชกมวยในงานวัด และได้รับการยกย่องเป็นพระบิดาแห่งมวยไทย วันนี้มีพิธีไหว้ครู-ครอบครูมวยไทยตามสนามและค่ายทั่วประเทศ งานใหญ่จัดที่พระนครศรีอยุธยา · National Muay Thai Day, set by a Cabinet resolution of 3 May 2011 on the accession day of King Sanphet VIII — Phra Chao Suea, the Tiger King — who tradition holds fought incognito at temple fairs and is honoured as the father of the art. Wai khru and khrop khru ceremonies are held at stadiums and camps across the country; the main ceremony is at Ayutthaya.

The date was called Muay Thai Day before the 2011 Cabinet resolution moved the national day to February 6, and it remains World Wai Khru Muay Thai Day, when fighters from many countries gather at Ayutthaya to salute their teachers together.

วิสาขบูชา · Visakha Bucha

พิธีสืบชะตาเมืองเชียงใหม่ · Suep Chata Mueang — the city fate-extension rite

It is the community's own rite; visitors attend as respectful observers.

อาสาฬหบูชา · Asalha Bucha

ตานก๋วยสลาก (สลากภัตล้านนา) · Tan Kuay Salak — Lanna alms-lottery merit-making
